New toolkit launched to help all visitor-facing businesses leverage the identity of the Wadden Sea World Heritage to enhance their communications.

Businesses and actors in the Wadden Sea region will benefit from a new ‘Marketing & Communication` toolkit, advising on how to understand and present the value of the Wadden Sea World Heritage.

Wadden Sea Flyway Poster

With the support of the Bingo-Umweltlotterie, an updated version of WWF´s Flyway Poster has been made freely available for educational purposes and tourist information in the Danish, German and Dutch parts of the Wadden Sea World Heritage.

The first ones have arrived: several millions of waders and waterbirds, on their way to their arctic breeding grounds, make a stop in the Wadden Sea, the main resting spot on the East Atlantic coastal flyway. Where the birds come from, where they are going, and which role the Wadden Sea plays, is described on a new poster from the IWSS-WWF series about World Heritage Wadden Sea.

A new issue of the Wadden Sea Poster is now available and shows the ecological variety of the area.

A new edition of the Wadden Sea poster is now available! It illustrates the habitats and the biodiversity of the World Heritage Wadden Sea. Picturing typical animals, plants and habitats that can be found in the Wadden Sea, the poster will help you to explore the unique biodiversity of the area. The poster provides explanations in Danish, Dutch, German and English.

The toolkit was created to help bring consistency to the Wadden Sea World Heritage communication and to provide stakeholders with an overview of and easy access to marketing materials and guidelines.

The toolkit was created to help bring consistency to the Wadden Sea World Heritage communication and to provide stakeholders with an overview of and easy access to marketing materials and guidelines.

It is an interactive PDF which is available in English, Danish, German and Dutch, with a link to all material included in the kit as a separate folder.

The Toolkit is also available on a USB Flash Drive Card which was distributed to all PROWAD project partners.

New World Heritage Poster puplished by WWF

In cooperation with WWF Germany and the German national park administrations, an new version of the Wadden Sea World Heritage poster series has been released. The motives "Seals & Whales", "Birds", "Plants" and "Underwater World" are now available for resellers and end users.

End users can order the posters for each 3,50 € excl. shipping at the WWF partner: vertrieb@v-u-p.de.

The goal of this Resource Manual is to help State Parties to manage natural values within World Heritage properties. As such it is aimed at natural and mixed World Heritage properties as well as cultural landscapes. Natural World Heritage sites are inscribed because of their superlative values relating to scenery and other superb natural phenomena geology, ecosystems and/or biodiversity. The intention is to help managers understand and incorporate World Heritage concepts and processes into natural site management.

The Resource Manual is aimed at anyone with an interest in World Heritage, in particular those responsible for managing natural World Heritage sites, managers and staff of protected areas, local communities and indigenous peoples engaged in managing the property, as well as institutions and businesses operating in or alongside a natural World Heritage site.
