16th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium. Synthesis Report

This report summarises the new research insight and key recommendations of the 16th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium (ISWSS), held 28-30 October 2025 in Groningen, Netherlands. The executive summary highlights the main policy recommendations for the 15th Trilateral Governmental Conference (27-29 May 2026 in Esbjerg, Denmark). The report itself begins with an introduction to the symposium (chapter 1), followed by a chapter presenting the main thematic conclusions and recommendations (chapter 2). It then provides an overview of the keynotes (chapter 3) and specific sessions. Each sessions includes a summary of key insights, discussion points, recommendations for further research, and policy recommendations (chapter 4). The accompanying abstract book contains the selected abstracts for the keynotes, thematic sessions, and posters.
