The Trilateral Seal Expert Group (TSEG) published report “Aerial surveys of Harbour Seals in the Wadden Sea in 2018”.
On August 20 and 21, 2018, the heads of the secretariats of the European Water Commissions and Conventions and the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation gathered for their annual meeting at the CWSS premises in Wilhelmshaven.
Stakeholders from the trilateral Wadden Sea community met on 30 August 2018 in Wilhelmshaven to discuss sediment dynamics and management.
On 16 June 2017, the three national delegations as well as advisors from the NGO Waddenvereniging and the Wadden Sea Forum met at the city hall of Harlingen, Netherlands, for the 20th meeting of the Wadden Sea Board (WSB 20).

The 19th meeting of the Wadden Sea Board (WSB 19) took place at the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS) in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, on 24 March 2017.
At the end of January 2017, the municipalities of Varde, Esbjerg, Fanø and Tønder welcomed Co Verdaas, Chairman of the Wadden Sea Board, Rüdiger Strempel, CWSS Executive Secretary and CWSS Communications Officer Annika Bostelmann to the Danish Wadden Sea.
On 12 and 13 December 2016 a conference on “Perspectives of transboundary cooperation in World Heritage” took place at the Representation of the State of Hesse in Berlin.
The population of harbour seals in the Wadden Sea area remained largely stable in 2016. Experts assume that a slight decrease in numbers may be a signal that the overall population in the area has reached its carrying capacity.
In cooperation with the Task Group Climate of the Wadden Sea Board, the EU Interreg NSR project “Building with Nature” held a two-day workshop on best practices beyond the region in climate change adaptation.
