A delegation of seven persons from Gochang County, Republic of Korea, visited the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site between 10 and 20 May 2025.

20 conservation experts from the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, the UK, Norway, and Ukraine met for the 3rd East Atlantic Flyway Seminar.

Every three years, simultaneous bird counts are conducted in the countries along the East Atlantic Flyway.

The symposium focussed on communication, education and public awareness activities (CEPA) and on the sustainable management and protection of the World Heritage Site “Getbol - Korean Tidal Flats”.

The Wadden Sea Flyway Initiative received 10-month funding from the German International Climate Initiative (IKI) for the project ‘Climate Resilience for Critical Sites for Migratory Birds and People along the East Atlantic Flyway’.

Project partners and stakeholders shared updates and insights on activities aimed at reducing light pollution and enhancing technical solutions and monitoring.
